There was a blue calm river passing by a small village. At that time, the Romans, wanting to expend their territory, send a group of soldiers to this village. Thirsty of blood and war, these people won battles, built roads, bridges, temples and arenas. They conquered everything. But one day, when they got to this river bank, the army of soldiers who were dazzled and amazed by the beauty of this river, stopped and refused to cross it. They found out that it was called the river of forgetfulness and so they were petrafied. It was said that every time a stranger crossed that river they would forget their country, their family, even their own name...
But one day, the roman general, a man named Decimus Junius Brutus, ordered his men to cross over the river or else they would be accused of treason and die. The soldiers choosed to disobey their leader. The fear of forgetting everything was so overwhelming that they couldn't do it. So, Decimus, bravely decided to defy the river by himself. He advanced slowly threw those enchanted waters and as he reached the other edge, he turned to his soldiers and called them one by one, by their name. That way, he proved it wasn't the river of forgetfulness but the river of memory and beauty. A few moments later, Decimus died of hypothermia, he remembered everything but he forgot the river was cold as shit.
